159: Though It Clouds My Eyes, I Can Never Stop!

Here's the little song I wrote this week for Threadless:
The Right Buttons

As usual, the holidays are a strange time. It's both wonderful and depressing, socially exciting and lonely, fantastic and stark... often in the same hour. I guess the real problem is that it's hard to relax... anytime, anywhere. I have all of these dumb projects to kickstart and I hope to get some going starting Tuesday. Perfect time.

For now, please enjoy this photo of the new kitten hanging around my house, Gertie. When she starts to chase the cursor on my laptop while I'm trying to accomplish something, she becomes Old Gertie Bastard.

158: Upkeep

As the new year rolls around, I find myself doing the usual looking back and looking ahead thing... not to mention plans for obsessive new years projects and believe me i've got a big fat sleeve full of em... 2007 was a busy, exciting year. Finally made it to Spain and Australia. Probably should have written more here but... I have been writing. Words. For UR Chicago doing show reviews and record reviews and band profiles and the such. And I've been writing a ton of music for Threadless. Here are 13 short songs for the downloading:

This is Your Life
Keep Running
The Seeker
Amen, Brave Men
Ever
Cried Out
Animal We Are
Farewell!
Whatever Ship's Departing
Finally Vinyl
Marry A Marionette
071210
Haircare

And today, I have to throw one more in the ever growing bag of goodies...

Last January I recorded a bunch of these in an actual studio. Steve from These Arms Are Snakes even sings one of em. Not sure if it's ever getting properly released. Give it another month or so and maybe we'll all agree to just make it a download.

OK last thing... There are 3 states that I have not played a show in: Alaska, North Dakota, and West Virginia. So for 2008, this is my goal. Play those states. Do you book shows there? Email me at bobnanna@threadless.com. Have a swell day.

EDIT!

Oh what the heck, here's #46 on the covers chart:
Megan - originally by the smoking popes

I did my best with that solo. What's next?
