138: The Slow Descent

It's happening and last night i did nothing to stop it. On a lighter note, i think the songs from last week came out pretty good! Here they are:

Bald Eagle: mp3 / shirt

Highway Robbery: mp3 / shirt

Kabuki Fish: mp3 / shirt

Fig 02: mp3 / shirt

You're Wormfood: mp3 / shirt

Psychedelephant: mp3 / shirt

I have some surprises up my sleeve for Monday.

There's some good tunes this week, but I think last week you really out did all expectations with the one that flowed.

Hope the surprises revealed tomorrow will include a new record and another UK tour *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

I was trying to explain to a friend of mind that you were writing "jingles" for these shirts, and he was a little turned off, so I used the term "mini-song." Jingle never really gets across how good these songs actually are.

Which got me around to thinking...

I was thinking that if you could, (and if it could fit) release these on a CD under GTA. And since all of these songs most likely won't fit, maybe you ought to take a poll amongst your friends and blog-readers of which songs should be on the CD.

Favorites of Mine (Chronological):

Know Your Meats
You Got Some Splainin' To Do
Help From The Deep End
Selfless
Cheese
Classic Grills
Blueprint
Not So Treacherous Waters
Oh My Virgin Eye
Kabuki Fish

Have the name of the record be something along a commercialesque theme. It'd be good.

Have your booklet with the designs of the awesome shirts that these songs go with.

Lots of plug space for Threadless.com

Few extra bucks.

Yadda yadda yadda.

I'd buy it.

I just realised you meant threadless surprises... Still we live in hope.

You're going to have a lot to live up to next week. Who is the female you have singing on '3 house'? She has an amazing voice. The song that's come out under Nathaniel Carroll sounds like Rufus Wainwright meets Blink 182. The a capella style of bonsai gardener is amazing, and the techno/disco track is absolutely classic.

Whatever you've done to give you the inspiration to create these tracks, do it again. Seriously, congrats.

Hey Bob, for some reason I couldn't download "3House" from Threadless. It opened, but I can't find the file anywhere on my computer. Are you going to post it here at all?

Yes, I'd love to know who the female vocalist is who appears on 3 House (and some others, from memory. Pessimistic or Optimistic, for example?) Your voices sound great together.
