115: KYEO
Hey everybody. I’m in the lower lobby of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago where I have just finished my THIRD examination with no clear diagnosis. However, I must say, that I have utmost faith in the most recent doctor. When I was warned about his eccentricity, I don’t know what i was expecting. A clown with a big red nose? Big curly red afro? Fucking Patch Adams or something? Not so, beau. This guy was very cool, very friendly, and very thorough. Bingo.
But... like i said, he has no idea what it is that is invading my eyes. Unlike the other doctors, he found evidence of the inflitration in a few other spots, under the eyelids and so forth. So here’s what’s happening. I have to have a CT scan, which will reveal what is behind all of this inflammation if anything. That happens at 4 pm. It is now 1:16. On February 2, I have to take a recommended pre-op physical, which to be honest, i’m pretty gosh darn excited about. Feb 10, I meet with the doctor to go over the upcoming biopsy surgery. Feb 20 is the surgery whereupon they will be extracting a piece of the inflammed tissue and send it off to NASA or what have you. On the morning of Feb 23, i have a post-op appointment. On the night of Feb 23 I play in Cleveland. I may have to wear sunglasses. I will be extra cool for that show... if it happens. You see, i’m not sure how much downtime this type of surgery requires. I guess i’ll find out on the 10th. Blah.
I’m not terribly c oncerned about the whole deal since it doesn’t seem to be getting worse and i’m not experiencing any pain, itching, or discomfort. It’s all just there. Who really knows... Amazing that I now have medical insurance after oh about 8 or so years without it, give or take...
I can’t get online here, which is a bummer, but i have a lot of good new music to listen to, so i’m not too downtrodden and bored. I’ll be able to get online tonight, so i should be able to post up something really exciting for tomorrow.

hope you can still make it to NYC on the 24th! i've got tickets, and it would be my first trip to the big apple
Bob,
Here's a song to hold you over. It's a mix of Dismemberment Plan's "The City" and Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" that I made. I hope you dig.
