091 Happy And All That

Have you seen that most recent TV miniseries adaptation of The Shining? It's on right now. It's just terrible. You know who plays the why-even-try-and-outdo-Jack-Nicholson character Jack Torrance? Steven Weber. Yes, from Wings. It's sort of ironic that the real success stories of Wings were the two supporting characters... played by Tony Shalhoub (Emmy award winner for Monk and damn fine actor - have you seen Barton Fink?) and Thomas Haden Church (Academy Award nominee for Sideways and new Spiderman villain)... the three leads have done nothing of note. Nothing!

Played 2 Halloween shows this weekend. A small house show and a big skate park show. Both equally awkward and exhilarating. Didn't help that we were dressed like this:

Haha, good costumes. I love how Americans go all out for Halloween, but I've never understood why, it's a strange "holiday". Any idea what it's actually about? (I may go look up now......)
I don't know who that is on the left, but he reminds me of these 118 people we have on adverts over here.

Haha, sorry, it actually wasn't them, it was ones for E4, I'll try find them...
Couldn't find a picture. They come on inbetween 'lost' to do these 5 second sketches. It was just the red headband that did it. I didn't mean to offend.

I always thought Tim Daly was a good actor. Had a great guest role on the Sopranos.

Unreal. We're actually playing a show this month with a Racine area rapper - funny in and of itself, sure, but that's not all - going under the moniker Eli Cash. Hmm...

My friend Erik Harms went at Steve Zissou and went as far as to Photoshop himself into this scene. All the funnier is that Murray and Wilson just look fucking confused.

Oh, and play "Hold On Hope" live sometime. My bowels would be lost, but it'd be worth it.

Best Halloween costume ever!

Well actually, I dunno. I was Hellboy, and Hellboy is pretty badass.

shit. So Bob. I had no idea what you were doing musically now, and then I stumble upon this. I also found out that you're playing in Louisville in like THREE DAYS or something. Well shit. I'll come see you. I'll remind you of who I am, because you probably don't remember.

bob, i would just like to say that being one of the 5 people who was singing "a dozen roses" with you last night was easily one of the greatest things i've ever done, expecially seeing hundreds of kids stare at us cause we knew the words and they didn't.

Hey Mr. Nanna - Just wanted to say that I found your show in Wheaton to be interesting/cool. I've so far seen COF four times this year, and each time was a completely different sound/show/experience. Good to see you're having fun in your post-braid/hm days!
