Dan, I can tell you why your head hurts. If you could only keep the fat thing from banging around in the back seat of the car while I drag your stinkin' butt home from the Cactus Club. That's right.. I said it..

Total Junk Mail in the last 12 hours in email account: 1115 messages. Yesterday: 1412.

What the hell? I do not need a mortgage or financial help thank-you very much..

Amelie was fantastic. I just might see it again..

Is'nt it weird when someone you know unknowingly bids and wins something you're selling on Ebay? Weird..

If you're ever caught in a jam with the law just tell'em this:

I wish to invoke all of my rights under the statutes and Constitutions of the United States and State of (insert your state here). I do not want to talk with anyone from law enforcement or participate in any lineup until I consult with a lawyer and he/she is present. I do not consent to a search of my person, property, or possessions under my control or in which I have an interest. I do not waive any of my legal rights.

I will buy no wine before it's time... and the time will be Saturday, where my purchases will include and not be exclusive to the fine concoctions of (Francis Ford) Coppola and (Mario) Andretti. Napa Napa here I come.

And I think I'd be an OK babysitter.

On that note, Tahoe has been fun. How bout that Damon, huh? National television and all...

I've had a lot of downtime this week and have watched two really good yet looong movies. Ironically enough, Harry Dean Stanton has small roles in both.. weird. They are: The Green Mile and The Straight Story. Both highly recommended..

Bob... you do realize that while blogging about procrastinating it's still procrastination?

Playing on the Pod: "Night on the Sun" by Modest Mouse

Speaking of the Pod, As of right now, I have 938 songs saved in this little guy, and i'm listening to them all from A to Z to make sure that all the transfers were kosher. I found a few bum ones and quickly replaced them. My Pod is destined to be a lean clean non-faulty machine fresh as the day it was assembled in Taiwan.

My room is spotless. All the dishes are done and sparkling in the cabinets. I've streamlined my records and CDs. I've unlocked all of the characters on Simpsons:Road Rage. I'm caught up on my email... THIS ALL CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING.

I'm procrastinating.

I've got a lot of writing ahead of me. Once I get going, it's a breeze, but as you may well know, it's actually striking the match that's the really tough part. It's an old college trick. Clean everything, organize everything, have all the necessary books and pens and notes set up for quick reference, clean glasses, crack knuckles... and then stare off into the distance. Or better yet, take a nap! Why am I such a last possible minute kinda guy? It doesn't matter when it affects only me... but sometimes I feel like i'm letting people down... Well that's all going to change right now.

Podsong 524 of 938: "Nightengale" by Saves the Day

Oh how I wish I was on tour. I would sit in the van and as far as time goes, it was one of those "embarrassment of riches" situations. I'd check email, write in the old journal, and occasionaly kick some Scrabble ace... Bring back those days. Quickly now doctor.

Podsong 525 of 938: "Nightgown of the Sullen Moon" by They Might Be Giants

Who's favorite goonie is Brand? Seriously now.
